Saturday & Sunday, June 24/25, 1:00-3:30 pm
Are you an adult who is fascinated by ballet and ready to dive in deeper?
Do you enjoy taking class and learning choreography in a supportive community of adult ballet students?
Whether you've only started ballet recently (min. of 1-2 years of experience recommended) or have several years of experience dancing when you were younger but never found the right class or the time to get back into it... this workshop is for YOU!
This workshop for adult ballet enthusiasts will be led by Charmaine Ristow and Stephanie Tollefson and begins daily with a brief talk and Q&A on dancer health-centric anatomy. Participants will then warm-up by doing a straight-forward ballet barre. After our muscles are warmed up you will be guided through a calming stretching routine. Modifications will be given to make safe participation possible for dancers of all ages and backgrounds. We will then move on to an uplifting center practice that will include flowing port de bras and simple turns or exercises to prepare for turns, finishing with larger movements across the floor.
After a small break for snacking, resting and personal care, dancers will learn an excerpt from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty.
Register and tell your dancing friends about it today!
$65 for both days or $35 for one. Unless you tell us differently we will assume that your registration is for BOTH days.
Please reach out if you have any questions or
if you're wondering if this workshop is appropriate for you!
